This barn located in Yorkville, IL was in desperate need of some TLC. It’s weathered, split and dried out boards were first replaced and or scraped, cleaned, caulked with elastomeric sealant, and primed with Peel Bond Primer. XIM’s Peel Bond is a unique, high build, water-based, penetrating, bonding primer/sealer. It is formulated to bond-to and seal crackled and old surfaces. It can reduce the cracking and peeling or the topcoat paint by remaining flexible over the life of the paint. We then sprayed and back brushed two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint. The transformation was amazing! Each window’s trim was primed and painted with white paint as well. Arial lifts were utilized to reach the areas unattainable or where ladders could not reach.
